THE LUCKIEST
MAN ALIVE

Tim Highnam
Typical Tuesday

I truly believe I'm the luckiest man alive. The parents I have, the upbringing, the friends. All luck. All a gift from God. I was born into a part of the world that gave me opportunities most people never get. That's not something I earned. It's something I was given, and it comes with a responsibility to use it well.

I grew up on a farm in the English countryside. Hard labour from a young age. No phone, no games console, no mates round the corner. Just books and fields and a lot of time to think.

I heard Richard Branson tell the story of how his mum dropped him off four miles from home at age ten. Made him walk back so he'd learn to be independent. Crazy thing is, he doesn't see it as harsh. He just sees the blessing. That changed how I think about my own upbringing.

My parents backed me when I skipped university. I got a good job, quit at 21, moved back home, and started my first business. Built it to over $100k a month.

Then my business partner tried to take the company from me. I lost everything. It was awful. But I'm grateful for what it taught me. It made me sharper and it made me better.

I moved to Dubai on two days' notice after one of my best mates offered his spare room to me for a month, and I loved it so much I never left. We started Seven Sigma together and the rest is history. Three businesses now, creating content, trying to leave things better than I found them.

What I'm Building
Beyond Work

I box, I read, I travel. Working on being the best entrepreneur, athlete, friend, and future husband I can be.
